This listing is for a book from an excellent series dedicated to the folk costumes of the various ethnographic regions of Poland. For details about the specific volume in this listing, please refer to the details above and the photos below. Includes numerous black/white diagrams, illustrations and photos as well as full-color plates. Most of the volumes also include patterns for recreating the costumes and information about the embroidery and decorations that would normally be found on each costume element. Details both the men's and women's costume, changes to the costumes over time, and influences of neighboring regions. The book is part of a large set published in Poland starting in 1949 and there have been 47 volumes published to date. I have nearly all of the volumes from this set available so please e-mail me if you are interested in one that you do not see listed on ebay and I will happily check my inventory.
