    Description

    This is a lovely women's ethnic costume from the Eastern part of Macedonia, the region of Kriva palanka, village of Slavishte. The costume contains long shirt, dress, a wide belt - sash, headscarf, apron and a long black woolen coat known as 'saja'. The apron and the coat are amazing. The 'saja' is a bride's coat, decorated with beautiful embroidery at the sleeves, hand embroidered with gold thread, 'srma'. The costume was made and worn in the first half of the XX century, 1930's, a940's. It is kept in a  very good condition, without damages of any kind.
