    Description

    This is, indeed, a rare example of this #81 George Jensen Pegasus brooch. It bears both the Georg Jensen in oval dots mark as well as GI in oval dots mark. It is marked both .925 and Sterling, as well as, Denmark. It is a transitional piece from 1915 to 1930, I think.  The number 81 is at bottom of other marks. It is interesting that in Drucker's book on Georg Jensen, 2nd edition, that she illustrates on page 131,  a BIRD, not a HORSE,  with wing numbered 81 as well. Any questions, please email me.
