Woman's Embroidered Blouse from Piestany, Slovakia
This lovely embroidered blouse comes from villages around the famed spa town of Piestany in Slovakia. Part of the local folk costume, it's made of cotton, with sleeves and wrist ruffles richly embroidered in orange and mustard-yellow cotton. The embroidery features the very fine eyelet and cutwork that the Piestany area excels in.
The blouse fastens at the neck with plain string ties, and the sleeves are gathered at the wrists with string ties to make the ruffle.
Please note the length is only 17 inches. These blouses were worn under vests that covered the torso, so they were not made long.

Collar: 20 inches around
Width at chest: 50 inches around
Length: 17 inches
In very good condition, no noticeable stains, rips, or holes.
