Women's antique handmade long vest, 'klashenik' from Prilep and Bitola region

Description

This is a woolen, handmade vest part of the women ethnic costumes from the beginning of the XX century in the regions of Prilep and Bitola, the villages near these cities. The vest was made of pure organic wool, woven on a horizontal loom and the material known as 'klashna' and this kind of long vest called from that 'klashenik'. It is kept in a good condition except for a few discoloring caused by unprofessional try to be washed. The damages are visible at the photos. However it is a very rare piece of ethnic clothes from this region.
